A Song of Hope

A Song of Hope

Passage: Luke 1:67-80

Speaker: Dr. Steven Laufer

Series: A Christmas Playlist

Category: Sunday Sermons

Keywords: god’s plan, hope, trust

Zechariah and Elizabeth were the aged couple who had no hope. Even when he received a direct and obvious message from the Lord, Zechariah laughed in the face of hope. But he had forgotten that God is the one who turns the hopeless into the hopeful, and brings fullness to those who are empty. His song in Luke 1, prompted by the birth of his son, John the Baptist, is a testimony to renewed hope in the God who has a plan and is working to bring his perfect plan for all of creation to its ultimate, redemptive conclusion. (Luke 1:67-80)
