UBC 2012
We Are One
Our church's 2012 theme is We Are One. This theme is rooted in the book of Ephesians and communicates the manner in which our church, while made up of many diverse people, is a single, unified family. We are One Body, that shares One Spirit, and believes in One Hope.
The emphasis on the unity of the church spreads throughout the New Testament, and it informs our primary goals for the upcoming year.
The theme parallels the goals in three seasons:

These goals were not only born out of our quest to strengthen our church unity, but also out of our strategy for making disciples: Belonging, Preparing and Serving.
one spirit
Preparing: We will provide opportunities and challenge the UBC family to engage in spiritual formation groups and activities.
one hope
Belonging: We will actively pursue new avenues for reaching people who are not connected to a community of believers in the neighborhoods where we live for the purpose of connecting them to the UBC family.
one body
Serving: We will help each UBCer discover, develop, and use their gifts and strengths in a specific place of service.
administration goal
We will open new funding streams for the growth of UBC’s ministries internal and external.
