During the Summer of 2012 the UK will be hosting the world’s premiere sporting event – The Olympic and Paralympic Games.  As 16,000 athletes and 20,000 media professionals from 200 different countries gather in the UK, the  church has an unprecedented opportunity to  share the gospel with them and some of the estimated 9,000,000 visitors. As well as these mission opportunities around Olympic Venues, there is also a movement of churches throughout the UK who are using the Olympics as a catalyst for going into their local communities.

University Baptist Church is currently partnering with ministry leaders from the UK to develop mission groups that will deploy throughout 2012 to share the love of Christ.

During the evening we will be showing live Olympic events on big screens as well as other sporting, cultural and outreach events.
