Childcare workers needed
Our growing congregation includes lots of energetic, joyful kids! Fun little personalities are blooming in the light of God's love, and we need your help to care for them! UBC is seeking paid childcare workers for part-time positions on Tuesday and/or Wednesday mornings, and a few evenings occasionally. To join our fun, creative team, please contact Kendra Nowell at 281-488-8517, ext. 313.
Living Water Challenge
May 17-25
We are challenging ourselves to consider the plight of the developing world and their lack of clean water. From May 17-25 we will commit to not drinking sodas, coffee, or other bottled beverages we love--but only drink water. Then, we will donate the money we saved to UBC's upcoming mission trip to El Salvador, which is a project to dig water wells. For details, contact the Discipleship Office at ext. 224.
Beds for Boys
In response to the Tsunami in Southeast Asia, UBC member Kenneth Ransom assisted with work in Sri Lanka with Kalapuwa Sri Leadership Academy for Boys. The final phase of rebuilding is to provide beds for boys at the academy. There is a need for 200 beds at the cost of $68 per bed. If you would like to participate in this project, feel free to make a check to UBC designated to "Kalapuwa Sri Leadership Academy for Boys" and submit it at UBC during offering time, or in the church office.
Baseball and Football Equipment Needed
Collide Ministries will be going on a mission trip to London, England from July 11–20. We are collecting used or new baseball and football equipment to give to the community youth center where we will be serving. For more information, contact michelle.parrott@ubc.org or ext. 333.
