I’ve been pastor at UBC since November 2010. My family and I are enjoying getting to know our Clear Lake community. David Mobley

When we moved to Clear Lake in 1989 we visited UBC because of a personal invitation we felt obligated to accept. We were, after all, small church people. Our hearts have always been aligned with UBC as we raised our family here and were blessed to serve in many capacities. It was a natural transition for us when I joined the staff as Executive Director in 2008. God continues to unveil more of His glory to us through the people and ministries of UBC. more about David
Rick Carpenter
associate pastor, pastoral care
I began at UBC on January 1, 1993, moving here from 14 years of ministry in Nashville, TN. Though it may be hard to believe, I love talking with people about what God is doing in their lives, even in the middle of a crisis. Kay and I have two grown sons, and we love visiting them in Little Rock and Dallas. We also have the two cutest grandkids in the world—Ellie and Levi. Jason Gadman
associate pastor, family ministries
I came to UBC in July 2006 from FBC Richardson. When I’m not leading our team to minister to families, I am traveling around the world, playing golf, or coaching one of my son's sports teams. We love attending all the great sporting events here in Houston, and are excited to serve and grow along with our church families. more about Jason
Carol Homan
interim associate pastor, missions
UBC became my church home in 1977, before the buildings were on Middlebrook Drive. It was here that I grew up spiritually, felt called to ministry and believed it could happen. I went to seminary for a Master of Arts in pastoral counseling after a 25-year career at NASA. Dave and I married at UBC over 30 years ago, and we have been blessed to raise our three children and introduce our two grandchildren to Jesus in this church community. more about Carol
Matt Marsh

I've been on staff at UBC over 15 years. It's been a joy to be part of such a wonderful church family. My wife and two daughters have also felt very blessed to be here these past years. As I have grown personally, I have seen the church grow as well. UBC has allowed my passion for worship to be fully realized and for that I am most grateful. Lora Doremus

I am passionate about Christ and the changes that only He can bring about in the lives of His followers. I earned my degree in Marketing from Texas A&M and the University of Houston Clear Lake and am currently devoted to training women in discipleship, Bible Study and spiritual disciplines. I am married to Bob and all three of our children currently attend Texas A&M University. more about Lora
Melissa Dutton
director, weekday ministries
My love for Christ and passion for children to grow in Christ’s love led me to this position. I have been the director of Weekday Ministries since June of 2004 and I have lived in this area since June of 1990. My family and I love being a part of the UBC family and of Clear Lake. more about Melissa
Karen Murphy
director, children's ministries
It has been my pleasure to serve on staff here at UBC for the past four and half years. I graduated from Howard Payne University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. I have served in vocational ministry for over 25 years and been serving in Children's Ministry for 15 years. I am not married, however I am the proud parent of two adorable miniature schnauzers, Billy and Lilly. more about Karen
Terri Neal
director, preschool ministries
I am blessed to have experienced God’s calling to UBC in May, 2010. I’ve worked with preschoolers for over 20 years through lay ministry, church weekday programs, owning an early learning center, and continue to volunteer with families in crisis situations. My passion is building relationships with both the preschooler and parents extending the love of Jesus Christ. more about Terri
Ben Sandstrom

I am passionate about the worship community and what God is doing in it. My heart is for growing teams, building relationships, and seeing the church come together to impact the Kingdom of God. I’ve seen big ups and downs in my life but through my journey God has done a great work in me and my family. He’s restored grace in my life and I have embraced the calling he has put on me to lead worship and serve in the church. I recently married the most amazing and beautiful woman; my wife Lindsay and I are excited to make UBC and this area our home. more about Ben
Kyle Wilson

I’ve been the Director of Student Ministries at UBC since June 2007. The more my family and I become a part of the community the more we love it here. We yearn to see students passionately seeking the person of Jesus Christ. Not just to know him but to follow him with their whole hearts.
