At UBC, we believe that a child’s spiritual journey should begin at birth. Our desire is to partner with parents as they build a solid spiritual foundation in the lives of their preschoolers. Preschool Ministry is a place where Biblical truths are taught on an age-appropriate level in a safe, loving environment. In keeping with that partnership, we strive to effectively minister to your child in all areas of life: physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual.

I want to personally welcome your family to UBC’s Preschool Ministry! It is a privilege to partner with parents as we grow your children together in spiritual truths.

I’ve worked with preschoolers for over 20 years through lay ministry, church weekday programs, owning an early learning center, and continue to volunteer with families in crisis situations. My passion is building relationships with both the preschooler and parents, extending the love of Jesus Christ.

I am blessed to have experienced God’s calling to UBC in May, 2010. At our church, you will find warm welcomes, great families, and imperfect people in an imperfect world with a desire to serve and follow the Lord.

Our staff is here to serve the UBC family, our community, and our world.

Melissa Dutton

Welcome to University Baptist Church Weekday Ministries! I want you to know that I absolutely love children and love working with each child's family. I know that God has called me to this position and I feel so blessed that He uses me to reach out to children and their families.

While in college, I was put into a position to teach a group of young ladies. That is when I fell in love with teaching. I quickly changed my major to education and upon graduation began teaching elementary school. While teaching, I went back to school, received my Masters in Educational Mid-Management and became an Assistant Principal. My love for teaching and working with families continued to grow. God used all of this to bring me to my current position....my passion grew into a passion to teach preschoolers about God's amazing love. I am still amazed at how God equipped me along the way for this exact place. He is still working on me....one moment at a time.

I am so thankful for all of the families in our Weekday program....what a true blessing they are to me.
