On Wednesday, October 10, Clear Falls High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and CCISD’s Veteran’s Memorial Stadium hosted the Greater South Houston Area’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes “Fields of Faith.” This nationwide event was attended locally by over 700 students and adult volunteers. UBCers played a huge role in the event—spiritually, financially and physically. UBC's Empty Nesters WBS group handed out free pizza, free t-shirts, and free Kroger water bottles. Debbie Forrest’s band led off the evening with a great mini-concert assisted by Kyle Wilson and Steve Johnson for audio support. Two “huge” speakers, former NFL players Clarence Lee and Keith Davis, gave inspiring messages. At evening’s end, 83 students had committed their lives to Christ, 133 had recommitted their lives to standing up for God, and four had checked the box “need more information” (we are especially praying for them)! —Coach David Ward, Clear Falls High School
