What childcare is offered?
Our Preschool WBS is for babies and toddlers ages 6 weeks – Kindergarten. Childcare during Worship Services is not available. Read our childcare policies.
What do I do before the service starts?
Sunday services take place in the Worship Center, which is an auditorium filled with rows of comfortable pews. There are no reserved seats, you may sit anywhere. Each pew has a book rack with hymnals and a Bible. As you enter the Worship Center, you will receive a copy of the Worship Bulletin that gives you information on the activities at UBC and shows the order of the service. If you arrive after a service has started, an usher will help you find a place to sit.
What is the worship like?
Services last about 75 minutes. Our contemporary, casual worship service, is held at 11:00 a.m. Music and Bible-based preaching, along with multimedia and special affects make this service a favorite for many of our members and guests. Sunday morning services at 9:30 a.m. are considered traditional blended style. Music by our Sanctuary Choir, Orchestra, and Handbells groups, along with Bible-based preaching and multimedia features are included during the 9:30 service. Both services are held in our Worship Center. Read more
How are guests greeted?
As you arrive, our greeters and other members may recognize you as a guest and extend a friendly greeting. As a visitor, you will not be asked to stand, raise your hand or otherwise identify yourself. You do not even have to register or sign your name to anything if you do not wish to; however, we would like to know you were our guest. The Worship Bulletin has a place for you to fill in information you would like to share, as well as a section for you to write about any needs you may have. It is a "tear-off" portion. We ask that you tear it off and drop it in the offering plate as it is passed, if you wish. You don't need to put anything else in the offering plate.
How will I know when to stand?
The pastor or the worship leader will ask the congregation to stand or sit. Generally, we stand during congregation songs and short readings, which are displayed on large screens. You may sit or stand at anytime you wish.
What is the preaching like?
Our pastor gives Bible-based talks, lasting about 25 minutes. You can listen to past sermons by clicking here.
Do you have a crying room available?
No, but if you have a baby who is not comfortable, we would like you to check out our nursery facilities. We provide trained staff to assist you. Read more
Do you give invitations at the end of the service?
Sometimes at the end of the preaching, the pastor will offer an invitation to anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to come forward. A trained counselor will go with you to a quiet area nearby and answer any questions you have. You may receive information about becoming a Christian, Believer's Baptism and belonging to UBC at any service or any other time during the week. Read more
Do I need to donate money when I visit?
UBC encourages biblical tithing, however our guests are not expected to give anything.
What small groups, Weekend Bible Study or Sunday School classes are offered?
UBC has many small groups within our large church. We encourage people to check out our Weekend Bible Study Groups on Sundays at 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in order to get to know people just like you. Greeters can explain the classes available, escort you to the correct room and introduce you to someone in the class. We also have a variety of life groups meeting during the week.
